Bethany Davies
Bethany has a background in overseas development and training coordination. She has a BA (Honors) in International Relations from Deakin University and an MA in International Development studies from RMIT.
Bethany is an extremely organised and analytical consultant. She is has facilitated and coordinated several workshops and has top-class people skills. Bethany is also a skilled project manager and training coordinator having managed large scale development training programs in Australia, Cambodia and Vanuatu. She has coordinated and facilitated a range of overseas development study tours, conferences and youth summits.
Prior to joining the team at Clear Horizon Bethany was the South Asia regional co-ordinator with the NGO ‘Engineers Without Borders’. In this role she dealt extensively with partner organisations in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, managed the in country volunteer sending program and developed a suite of development training resources. Before this Bethany worked in Vanuatu for a period of time establishing a number of community action groups aimed at creating opportunities for youth in rural communities.

2011 - ongoing: Festival for Healthy Living. Daa collection and analysis for the Festival for Healthy Living (FHL), a mental health promotion and community capacity building strategy that makes use of the performing and visual arts in Northern Victoria.
2011 - ongoing: Opening Doors Framework, Department of Human Services (DHS). Data collection and analysis for the Victorian Department of Human Services around a framework for homelessness service provision across the State.
2010 - 2011:Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES), Plan Australia.Co-facilitated Plan Australia’s AusAID funded AACES design process. The design involved the iterative, participatory design of the program’s theory of change in three countries for a rights based program working with marginalised groups.
February 2011: Delivery Strategy Theory of Change Workshops, AusAID Cambodia Program. Providing in country AusAID staff and development partners with training in a theory of change approach then designing Delivery Strategies for the Health and Justice Sectors using these skills.
2011 Humanitarian Action Policy, AusAID. Co-facilitated a policy redesign and the development of the policy’s performance assessment framework taking a theory of change approach.
