Malcolm has expertise in areas of veterinary public health and biosecurity, developed through extensive experience in policy and operational roles in government, non-government and private organisations, in Australia, Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom. He is particularly interested in the roles of government and primary producers in sustainable agriculture.
Malcolm’s interest in evaluation comes from first hand experience planning and managing projects and programs where he has seen how evaluative approaches can strengthen program design, stakeholder engagement, organizational learning and program effectiveness. Malcolm moved from the public sector to evaluation consultancy after completing a Master of Evaluation at the University of Melbourne.
In his spare time Malcolm can be found kicking a footy in the local park, enjoying a leisurely cycling adventure or in the garden coaxing cucurbits and compost.
