Sonja Tymms is a Senior Consultant at Clear Horizon with a Master of Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Commerce. She brings over 15 years experience in evaluation, strategic and operational management, planning, governance and business support systems. Her area of sectoral focus includes sustainability, the environment, agriculture and community development.

While previously employed by the Victorian Department of Primary Industries (DPI) for 11 years, she gained a range of skills and experiences. Roles include Key Project Manager, responsible for the investment in projects linking consumers to food and fibre production, as well as some agricultural grant programs, and projects delivered to a range of agriculture industries. While based in the policy group, she was involved in climate change policy evaluating Victorian farmers’ response to climate change and project managed DPI’s response to the Murray Darling Basin Plan. More recently, as Business Manager, she provided project management and evaluation support to the policy group.

Sonja has had a long standing passion for evaluation since participating in 5 day intensive evaluation training in 2002. Since this time she has directed a variety of evaluations and program logic workshops.
