Australia’s aid program in Myanmar helps create an environment conducive to inclusive economic growth and increased trade by strengthening government capacity, promoting peace and stability, and supporting the development of an educated and competitive workforce.  Education is the flagship of Australian aid to Myanmar, accounting for around 40 per cent of bilateral development assistance. Australia’s investments help to improve school learning environments, enhance teaching and learning practices, support disadvantaged girls and boys to stay in school, and strengthen government’s education policy development and oversight.

Since 2016, Clear Horizon has provided ongoing M&E advisory support to Myanmar’s education investments via the Australia Awards Scholarship Program, World Bank (DFSP), Myanmar Education Consortium, UNESCO (STEM) and My-EQIP.  Our role includes support for strategic planning, investment designs, reviewing and improving monitoring and evaluation system development and implementation, quality assuring of partner reporting, information management systems, and capacity building in key areas such as M&E.
