Dart, J.J. (2000) Target 10 Evaluation stories, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Victorian State Government, Melbourne

Between May 1998 and May 1999, the Target 10 dairy extension project implemented a novel approach to participatory monitoring and evaluation referred to as the ‘Story Approach’, which, as far as we know, had never been attempted in Australia before. The purpose was twofold: to collect data about the impact of the project as a whole and to promote organisational learning within the project team. This booklet contains 24 stories that were selected by the statewide Target 10 Central Executive Committee. Five of these stories were then selected as the most significant accounts of change at a round-table meeting of ‘key influencers’ and ‘purchasers’ of the project.
