Dave enjoys working with stakeholders on complex issues to generate clarity, structure, and a way forward.
Dave has worked in international development for over 15 years, in public, not-for-profit and private sector roles. To date, his career focused on Australia’s Aid Program in the Pacific and Southeast Asian regions; providing him a deep understanding of DFAT approaches to aid delivery. He has investment design, monitoring, and evaluation experience across diverse sectors – including WASH, health, governance, community driven development, impact investing, and women’s economic empowerment. At the country portfolio level, he has developed strategies, MEL systems and performance reports; as well as driven systematic efforts to improve the quality of design, monitoring and evaluation across the portfolio. He is passionate about improving international development practice by providing credible and useful insights to policy makers and practitioners. Specific areas of interest include behaviour design, and portfolio-level learning.
