Nathan brings an interdisciplinary skill-set to his evaluation projects that draw on his experience as an environmental analyst, systems thinker and social researcher.
Driven by a curiosity about how people connect with place, Nathan completed The University of Melbourne’s Master of Environment, working the boundaries between science, policy and culture to identify opportunities to better manage Victoria’s rivers and natural resources.
After a period with the CSIRO, where he co-published a number of papers, Nathan then pursued a career in consulting, working first with Roberts Evaluation then, Alluvium Consulting finally finding his tribe with Clear Horizon.
For Nathan, evaluation is space where he can exercise innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to thinking and change-making in an increasingly complex world. He is interested in exploring novel ways to enable positive change for communities and the environment.
If he’s not collecting and interrogating data, Nathan is most likely cycling one of the Victorian rail trails, doing yoga or catching a film at the Nova.
